Chaimowicz's objects appear overwhelmingly kind, in pastels and patterning that soften the self, nothing unacceptable to a baby's bedroom. We find this wanton sensitivity almost unnerving in art, we fear the institutionalization of its form, the hospitalization of "sentiment."
